I just recently got one for my daughter this past Christmas! it’s still in the box. I still have mines from when i was little.I just love Cabbage Patch Kids.

Wow, it has been a LONG time since I have seen one of those! If I remember correctly, it was the holiday season of 1983 when the Cabbage Patch doll craze arrived and people were making money by “scalping” them to desperate shoppers right before Christmas. There were even fake ones being traded; interestingly, the way you could tell which dolls were the real thing was by setting fire to one of the hair strands. If it burned readily, the doll was real. The hair on the fake ones was made out of some kind of flame retardant plastic and would resist the fire while emitting a rather unpleasant smell.
